just wow awesome game cant wait full release

Fantastic game!!! Especially with the visuals.

I'm having some trouble with the game.

I downloaded the game and everything went fine until I tried to extract the .zip file and I got an error so I used 7zip to extract it and it extracted completely fine until I tried to start the game and it said that "UnityPlayer.dll was not found" I don't know if this happened because of something I did or what but I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem and if so how they fixed it.

Try to re-download the archive and unzip it again

Played the Demo and really liked it! There are some things that should be changed though.

Firstly, the game is incredibly easy. I found myself never below 60 health during the whole game and I wasn't even trying.

Secondly, the shotgun was fun, but it felt completely unnecessary to use in the game.  The shotgun needs something that sets it apart from other weapons/abilities, like a certain enemy you need the shotgun for, or you can use the shotgun to launch yourself in the air to go further.

Thirdly, I got stuck when I got the reality hacker pencil mode for 15 minutes because I didn't realize how to erase and draw to hack. Is this because I didn't read the notes? Probably, but plenty of other players are going to make the same mistake. Players are idiots. I personally would trap the player in a room where the only way out is a door with a hack screen.

I really enjoyed the game art, and it felt very polished, but lacked much of a game-play loop. I feel like the combat lacks "target" enemies, where you have to prioritize getting rid of them. Maybe a machine-gunner that slowly aims towards you and streams bullets while you try to outrun his aim? Maybe a shield wielding/armored person that you need to get up close to or hit from behind to kill?

The slide tackle seems kinda pointless right now. Maybe if there was a certain enemy that could only be countered by slide tackling it to destabilize it?

Either way, I'm definitely going to play the full version of the game when it comes out. Great work!

[Long Post]
Hopeful for this game, cool ideas!
I really want this game to be successful, so as a dev myself I wanna give my opinion with detailed reasoning after watching the trailer and playing through the demo. (Of course, that's only my opinion, also i have not worked on movement shooters yet!)

Pros:
- Most of the mechanics are relatively polished, I really liked kicking around and shooting up a bunch of paper dudes.
- Kicking exploding barrels and bombs are the best. Really captivates that dopamine kick when you do it nicely. (Is there a bit of help where the barrel lands? It so, it feels really natural and awesome, as for my experience playing the demo)
- The graphics and theme is really unique, fun, and manages to be a bit scary while also being goofy enough to enjoy.
- Only one actual dynamic music yet, but it is really complementing the bigger fight waves, giving you that Doom rush when you hear it :)
- I got interested in the stickman dude. What could they be up to...?

Cons: (more like, needs polishing)
- Quality of tutorials are inconsistent a bit. Some mechanics are explained perfectly, but for an example, there is a prompt [E] to close notes (as I remember), but it was not shown for sharpening the pencil, I was stuck there for a minute to get it the first time.
Two abilities were a bit hidden, 1: jumping higher from a crouch, i discovered it accidentally, 2: sliding below enemies to kick them up in the air (I only knew this from watching the trailer a second time after finishing the demo)

- The pencil's hacking needs to be more fun, i expected more doors and secret passages to draw instead of the security panel hacks. (Finding, erasing, then rewriting the panel is many steps for a single door, which is good for 1 puzzle, then becomes a hassle when faced more times, but hey, this is just the demo!)

Not really cons, but my other opinions: [SPOILERS]
- I actually had no problem with the long times between fights, The only thing i was bummed about is that the demo ended without a last big fight. (There was like a solid 5-10 minutes of not-shooting then game ended, me expecting a last fight at the huge room)
- The game's story was really the most interesting with it's enviromental storytelling, and events (glitches, stickman dude), not the notes thrown around. But hey, they are also just optional to read so that's nice :)

Hoping to have a nice release my dude, i want to see more cardboard dudes get blown up!

Correction: The [E] prompt says to interact with things. It was my bad :)

Good game!

amazing game I like the mechanics

This demo is amazing! The combat feels really fun between kicking bombs at enemies and all the jumping around and the aesthetic of the game is perfect. If you can get people excited about this it could probably be the next big indie game.

Really I only had two problems with the game being that the fights are too spread apart like someone else mentioned but also I think the movement in the game could be a little better, it's pretty much fine as it is but it could do with the player being able to preserve their momentum since they tend to suddenly slow down in the air after a dash or slide.

Apart from that, great game! Can't wait to see more of this!

Game is good

Nice

Actually, you can glitch thru just about any door like that.

Much big problem. You can glitch thru the bombable walls by kicking into them. Overall, this game is AWESOME.

Can you please record it on vid and attach here?

Amazing game, love the art style and concept. I had a bit of issue with the mouse suddenly jolting and some area being too dark like the moving in vent. Other than that this game was really interesting to play and I really enjoyed it.

I made a video please check it out and support my channel.

You can use Flashlight to lit up dark places. It’s on X key

It was very fun to play, was just hoping for a boss fight!

Rwe
Really like this game so far, still need to find all the coins
(+1)

Oh.

Wow.

😀

Played and enjoyed the old demo back in the day, massively impressed with how it's grown 👍

ROAD TO 1K

Game is good, have some problems like: some enemies somehow get into the wall and not let me finish the wave; maybe add some in-game checkpoint ( physical in game or autosave is fine) so we can get back in the game faster (or to avoid game-breaking bugs like the one I gave); sometimes the camera glitches and look upward; need more blood (joking that's enough blood coming from paper and cardboard :>)

your kinda right not about the glitches but it does need more blood

And It needs a option where you can change your Game Speed cuz mine does glitch

(+1)

I REALLY like the mobility you have in this game. I hope you add in more pencil abilities and weapons that gives more mobility options to the player.
